Special Offers and Rebates from ENERGY STAR Partners:
To encourage customers to buy energy efficient products like LED lighting, ENERGY STAR partners occasionally sponsor special offers, such as sales tax exemptions or credits, or rebates on qualified products. epa energy star Partners also occasionally sponsor recycling incentives for the proper disposal of old products and qualified products. The search below is provided as a service to consumers to find such special offers or LED rebates where they exist, based on information that partners submit to ENERGY STAR.
Xcel Energy just unveiled a new prescriptive rebate program for LED lights installed by its commercial electric customers in Minnesota. The utility will give energy-efficient rebates and tax incentives to commercial customers that replace incandescent and halogen screw-in light bulbs with Energy Star-qualified LED bulbs, along with swapping out other types of older, less-efficient bulbs with LEDs. Xcel Energy will also now rebate energystar qualified LED Luminaires, LED canopy and soffit fixtures and LED refrigerated case fixtures.
Here’s a sampling of a few of the new LED rebate offers from Xcel:
- $20 – $35 per lamp for swapping incandescent or halogen bulbs with Energy Star-qualified LED bulbs.
- $100 per door for replacing T-12 or T-8 fluorescent bulbs in refrigerated case doors with LEDs.
- $100 – $125 per fixture for replacing incandescent downlight fixtures with LED Luminaires. $275 per fixture for replacing exterior metal halide canopy or soffit lights with LEDs.

Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s (PG&E) LED Street Light Program will offer street light customers on our LS-2 rate two ways to save energy and money when replacing traditional street lighting.
Rate Change
Customers who have installed or replaced existing street light fixtures after May 1st, 2009 with LED fixtures will be able to switch to a lower billing rate under the LS-2 rate schedule.
Potential LED Replacement Savings
Customers who have purchased and installed pre-qualified LED fixtures after May 1, 2009, may be eligible for rebates. Read below to learn more about which fixtures qualify.
